Meeting ahead.

MeetingWarning covers every screen a minute before your next call, with one big button to join it. Notifications slide by. This doesn't.

How it works

Three steps, then you forget it's there

Connect Google Calendar

Sign in with Google once. MeetingWarning reads your calendars and nothing else. Add more than one account if you have work and personal calendars.

A minute before, every screen

When a call is about to start, the alert covers every display, even over full-screen apps, with the meeting name and a live countdown.

Press Return to join

Return opens Meet, Zoom or Teams straight away. Esc dismisses it. Snooze gives you one more minute.

  • Every display

It covers all your screens, including spaces with full-screen apps, so it finds you wherever you are.

  • One button

The link comes from the invite itself, so Join goes straight to the right call.

  • A minute more

Snooze brings it back in a minute. Back-to-back meetings show up together.

Out of your way

Only the meetings that need you

All-day events, focus time and out-of-office blocks never trigger it. Everything else is your call.

No call link, no alert

Lunch and reminders stay quiet unless you turn this off.

Declined stays declined

Meetings you said no to don't take over your screen.

Skip one, mute a series

Right from the menu bar, for any meeting today.

Words you choose

Ignore titles with words like focus, lunch or OOO.

Pick your calendars

Your main calendar is on. Shared and team calendars are off until you want them.

Pause it

For an hour or for the rest of the day, from the menu bar.

Works with

Whatever the invite uses

MeetingWarning finds the call link in the invite, so it works with the services people actually send.

Your calendar stays on your Mac

What happens to your data

  • Read-only. MeetingWarning can see your calendars and meetings. It can't change or delete anything.
  • Straight from Google to your Mac. There's no MeetingWarning server, so your meetings never pass through us.
  • No account, no tracking. No sign-up, no analytics, no ads.
  • Disconnect any time. One click in Settings removes access and the saved sign-in.

FAQ

Questions

Which calendars does it work with?

Google Calendar, including Google Workspace accounts. You can connect several Google accounts at once. Support for the calendars in Apple's Calendar app (iCloud, Exchange, Outlook) is planned.

Does it work with several screens?

Yes. The alert covers every connected display, and Join and Dismiss work from the main one.

What if I'm presenting or in a full-screen app?

It still appears, because that's the point. If you don't want that for a while, pause it from the menu bar for an hour or for the rest of the day.

What if a meeting has no call link?

By default, meetings without a call link don't trigger the alert. Turn that off in Settings if you want it for in-person meetings too.

Can I choose how early it shows up?

Yes: when the meeting starts, or 30 seconds, 1, 2 or 5 minutes before.

Does MeetingWarning see what's in my meetings?

It reads the title, time, attendees' responses and the call link so it can show the alert and decide whether to show it. That stays on your Mac and is never sent to us or anyone else. Details are in the privacy policy.
